year 6 Homework

Year 6 homework leading up to SATs

Reading: Each child has a login for 'Reading Plus' (https://student.readingplus.com/seereader/api/sec/login). This is a personalised reading homework activity that will help your child improve their fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. We would recommend 5 sessions per week of 15 minutes.

SPaG:  SPaG online tests
As we approach SATs, your children will find it helpful to carry out regular practise of their arithmetic and SPaG skills. To this end, they will be set an online SPaG test for them to work through at home. In addition, they will be completing an arithmetic test in school and will be expected to take this home and work on errors and/or questions not completed. We ask that you ensure this is done as it will assist them in being as prepared as possible for their year 6 assessments in May.

Maths:  Maths homework will be set online through the ‘MyMaths’ website. Children have been given a login to access their homework tasks. Homework is marked online when the child presses the ‘mark it’ button.

Topic: At the beginning of each term your child will receive a spider diagram of possible homework tasks. This diagram will state how many tasks need to be completed each half term. Additional guidance can be found in your child’s homework book.
