PE Days
Year 3 PE Days are Monday and Wednesday. Class 3GS are Monday and Friday.
Homework
Spelling: Spellings are set every Monday and can be accessed online through Purple Mash. Each child has ten words which they can practise in their homework book before completing the Purple Mash quiz. Purple Mash quizzes need to be completed by the following Monday and children will be assessed in class on their weekly spellings each Friday.
Maths: Maths homework is set each Monday to be completed by the following Monday. It set using an online program called Purple Mash. Additionally, children should be practising their multiplication tables and related division facts regularly as we assess these weekly. They each have logins for Times Table Rock Stars to support this.
Home Reading: Your child will have the opportunity to choose a library book to take home each week. We encourage you to listen to your child read on a regular basis and discuss the events, characters and settings. Your child will have a home-school reading book for you and your child to record what they read each week. An adult in the class will check this on a weekly basis. In addition, all children can select a school library book of their choice, which will stay in school for quiet reading times. Your child’s library days are as follows:
3JR & 3S - Mondays
3G & 3LR - Wednesday
3GS - Thursdays
